Piazza Catilina Fountain

Piazza Catilina Fountain

This public fountain is located on the edge of Piazza Catilina, the main square in the town. Made of sandstone, it features three coats of arms carved in relief on stone blocks, one depicting a lion rampant to the left surmounted by a transverse band with three five-pointed stars, the other the lily of Florence and the last six balls in bas-relief. Although some claim that the coats of arms are of Renaissance origin, the carving technique and the state of conservation of the piece assign the typology to the 20th century style.
